Here's how to make it happen.
Step 1: Choose Your Container
For a workshop, we recommend the 40ft High Cube. The extra foot of ceiling height (9'6" vs 8'6") makes a massive difference when you're standing, working, and moving materials around.
If space is limited, a 20ft Standard still gives you a solid 160 sq ft โ plenty for a small woodworking shop or home office.
Consider a Double Door model if you need access from both ends (great for drive-through vehicle work) or an Open Side if you want a wide opening (perfect for a pop-up workspace).
Step 2: Prep Your Site
- ๐ Level, drained support โ the right base depends on soil, flood zone, loads, and local code. Get site-specific advice.
- ๐ Truck access โ tilt-bed delivery needs substantial straight-line room. Confirm the required width, length, slope, surface, and turning space for your site.

Step 4: Electrical
Run a sub-panel from your main house panel. Most workshops need at least a 60-amp sub-panel for:
